Dodgers conclude series against Pirates tomorrow, kids' batting helmet presented by Orion Choco Pie and Yasiel Puig at Viva Los Dodgers

What: The Dodgers' fourth homestand of the season and four-game series against the Pittsburgh Pirates concludes tomorrow, Sunday, June 1 at 5:07 p.m. (RHP Edinson Volquez vs. RHP Zack Greinke). All auto gates open at 2:30 p.m. and all stadium gates open at 3:00 p.m. tomorrow. The first 15,000 ticketed kids 14 and under in attendance will receive a Kids' Batting Helmet presented by Orion Choco Pie. Yasiel Puig will be at Viva Los Dodgers from approximately 3:30 p.m. to 4:10 p.m. taking photos with fans for donations that will go toward purchasing baseball and softball equipment for up to 180 youngsters at Department of Recreation and Parks, Lou Costello Recreation Center in Boyle Heights. 

For the series against the Pirates, Levy Restaurants is offering the Pittsburgh Dog an all-beef hot dog topped with cole slaw and shoestring fries, inspired by the traditional Primanti Brothers sandwich. It is available through tomorrow at extreme loaded dog concession stands on the Field, Loge and Reserve levels.

Tomorrow, Dodger Alumni League member Al Downing will sign autographs in the left-field pavilion plaza from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Dodger Alumni Leaguer Tim Leary will be at Viva Los Dodgers. A face painter will also be in the right-field pavilion plaza for youngsters to enjoy. The national anthem will be performed by Lonnie Jordan and the band WAR. The Urban Youth Academy will partake in the ceremonial first pitch.

Viva Los Dodgers, presented by State Farm, Chevrolet and Time Warner Cable, at the historic 76 station, begins at 3:00 p.m. Yasiel Puig will take photos with fans from approximately 3:30 p.m. to 4:10 p.m. Tickets to tomorrow's game are required to partake in the Puig photo opportunity and to attend Viva Los Dodgers. One photo per fan will be taken by Blue Prints who will also provide a complimentary printout. No autographs will be permitted. Puig will take photos with fans for monetary donations that will go toward purchasing baseball and softball equipment for up to 180 youngsters at Department of Recreation and Parks, Lou Costello Recreation Center in Boyle Heights that serves the East LA community. The Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation and the Wasserman Foundation will match the donation total tomorrow in support of Puig. Lou Costello Recreation Center offers activities for all ages and for families to enjoy daily. It plays host to Summer Night Lights and is a positive place for residents to access and at which to play sports. Lou Costello Recreation Center's youth programs also engage high-risk neighborhoods, Estrada Courts and Wyvernwood. Musical entertainment at Viva Los Dodgers will be provided by Las Cafeteras, who will present a remix of traditional Son Jarocho sounds, Afro-Caribbean marimbol and cajón, poetry in English and Spanglish, and instruments like jarana, requinto and a wooden platform called the Tarima.

Sunday's "Héroe de la Comunidad" honoree at Viva Los Dodgers is Roderick Hales-Hurtt of the San Fernando Valley Rescue Mission (SFVRM). Hales-Hurtt began his role as Overnight Shelter Staff in December 2013. His responsibilities include supervision, coaching, counseling and case management of the shelter guest families. Prior to his tenure at (SFVRM), Roderick served as a Commissioned Officer (Chaplain) in the U.S. Air Force. In addition to his responsibilities at the mission, Roderick is also part-time student at Grand Canyon University, seeking an MBA degree. The San Fernando Valley Rescue Mission experienced a devastating fire earlier this month. Hales-Hurtt was the first to alert all inside of the fire.

Adrian Gonzalez, through the Adrian Gonzalez's Viva Los Dodgers community program, will provide all-inclusive tickets and parking for families in greater Los Angeles by partnering with various non-profit organizations. This Sunday, Gonzalez will also host families from PUENTE Learning Center. PUENTE (People United to Enrich the Neighborhood Through Education) exists to ensure its constituents are given opportunities to achieve their full potential as members of their families and their communities. The organization provides educational services to the residents of East and South Los Angeles, two predominantly minority communities challenged by high levels of unemployment and poverty, and low levels of educational attainment. What began as a tutoring program for first- and second-grade students now offers tuition-free classroom instruction to more than 4,100 students of all ages each year.

The Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation (LADF) will have a Mystery Bag fundraiser at Viva Los Dodgers at the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation tent. For a $40 donation, fans can get an official Major League baseball signed by one of ten Dodger Alumni featured, including Fernando Valenzuela, Nomar Garciaparra, and Tommy Davis and current players including Adrian Gonzalez and Matt Kemp. All proceeds will benefit LADF and its programs in sports and recreation, education and literacy and health and wellness which help children and families throughout the greater Los Angeles region.

As part of Kids 4 Dodgers Baseball, 250 youngsters will be in attendance from Nuevo Amanecer Latino Children's Services and Thinking About Tomorrow. Thinking About Tomorrow is a non-profit organization dedicated to impacting everyday lives of at-risk youths by establishing within them a solid foundation of values. As a reward for perfect attendance, Thinking About tomorrow will bring students from Glassell Park Elementary School and Grant Elementary School. Nuevo Amanecer Latino Children's Services is a treatment foster care program serving more than 10,000 foster children and it has helped more than 80 percent of them achieve their reunification with their families

The Veteran of the Game presented by Bank of America is U.S. Army Sergeant Cris Ramirez of South Gate. Ramirez enlisted in 2002 to follow his family's military heritage and to become a US Paratroope. Ramirez serves with the 7th Special Forces Group (Airborne) and has served in Germany, has been deployed to Iraq and most recently returned home from his fourth combat tour to Afghanistan. His accolades include the Valorous Unit Award, Army Achievement Medal with two Oak Leaf Clusters and the National Defense Service Medal.

The Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation (LADF) will hold a silent auction on the Club level by the Vin Scully Press Box. The auction ends at 6:45 p.m. with more than 25 items up for bid, including a Matt Kemp autographed baseball, Yasiel Puig autographed LA Dodgers jersey and an Andre Ethier autographed photo. All proceeds will benefit LADF and its programs in sports and recreation, education and literacy and health and wellness which help children and families throughout the greater Los Angeles region.
