White Sox announce upcoming series activities

WHAT:           Chicago White Sox promotional highlights, giveaways and ceremonial first pitches for the upcoming home series vs. Kansas City and San Francisco. Tickets for the remaining games of both series are available at whitesox.com, the U.S. Cellular Field ticket office and all Ticketmaster locations.

Friday, Sunday and Tuesday's games will be televised on Comcast SportsNet Chicago. WGN-TV will broadcast Saturday and Wednesday's games. Remaining games of both series will air on WSCR-AM 670 (The Score), the White Sox flagship radio station, and 97.5 FM ESPN Deportes, the White Sox Spanish-language radio affiliate.

Mullet Night and Fireworks presented by Great Clips

Ceremonial first pitch by actor and comedian Kevin Hart

Mullet Night, an annual White Sox tradition presented by Great Clips, will feature pregame entertainment including music and a mullet parade, along with in-game haircut stations sponsored by Great Clips. There also will be live in-game performances by Hairbangers Ball. The evening will conclude with fireworks set to classic rock music.

Kevin Hart, actor and comedian, will throw out a ceremonial first pitch. Hart has starred in hit movies "Think Like a Man," "Grudge Match," "Ride Along" and "About Last Night." His newest movie, "Think Like a Man Too" opens in theaters on June 20.

Ceremonial first pitch by Bear Rinehart of NEEDTOBREATHE

Bear Rinehart, guitarist and lead vocalist of NEEDTOBREATHE, will throw out a ceremonial first pitch. NEEDTOBREATHE is an American alternative rock band that has released five studio albums. The band's most recent album, "Rivers In the Wasteland," debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200, earning the No. 1 spot on both the Christian album and rock album charts.

Family Sunday, presented by The University of Chicago Medicine Comer Children's Hospital, includes free pregame autograph sessions and postgame kids run the bases. Tickets are available for as low as $5 in the Upper Level and $15 in Lower Level, with $10 parking. Additional entertainment includes face painters, balloonists, a caricature artist, magnet art and a photo opportunity with the White Sox Broadcast Dashers.

Nickelodeon's Kids' Choice Sport Tour gives young White Sox fans the chance to get slimed on with Nickelodeon at the XFINITY Fundamentals. The tour also includes an in-park scavenger hunt and photo opportunities with Dora the Explorer and Spongebob Square Pants. The will be voting kiosks throughout the ballpark for kids to vote for this year's Kids' Choice Sports Awards. Admission is free.

670 The Score Tailgate will begin two hours before the game at U.S. Cellular Field, on the corner of 35th and Shields. Fans will have the opportunity to win prizes and meet former White Sox player Carlos May and Southpaw.

Michael Tolcher, American singer-songwriter will sing the National Anthem and perform an acoustic set before the game. His music has been featured on popular TV shows like One Tree Hill and Scrubs.

Tuesday, June 17, 7:10 p.m. vs. San Francisco

Bullpen Bracket First Pitch Competition (Final Round)

Ceremonial First Pitch by former White Sox pitcher "El Duque" Orlando Hernandez

The Bullpen Bracket First Pitch Competition, a first pitch competition between eight local television and radio personalities, heads into its final round. Laurence Holmes of 670 The Score will face off against CSN Chicago sports anchor Jen Lada. The winner will be named the 2014 Bullpen Bracket champion and recognized with a special trophy before a game after final voting. Information about the competition is available at whitesox.com/bullpenbracket.

"El Duque" Orland Hernandez, White Sox pitcher during the 2005 Championship season, will throw out a ceremonial first pitch.

Wednesday, June 18, 1:10 p.m. vs. San Francisco

Ceremonial First Pitch by director/actor Rob Reiner

Rob Reiner, director and actor, will throw out a ceremonial first pitch. Reiner directed hit movies "The Princess Bride," "When Harry Met Sally" and "A Few Good Men." He recently starred in "The Wolf of Wall Street." His newest movie, "And So It Goes," opens in theaters on July 18 and features Michael Douglas, Diane Keaton and Frankie Valli.
