Rays Return for 10-game Homestand

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.-After a three-game weekend series on the road in Houston, the Tampa Bay Rays return home to Tropicana Field for a 10-game homestand as they host the Baltimore Orioles (June 16-18), Houston Astros (June 19-22) and Pittsburgh Pirates (June 23-25).

The Rays-Orioles series begins on Monday, June 16 with a 7:10 p.m. game. The two teams will play at 7:10 p.m. on Tuesday before concluding the series with a 1:10 p.m. afternoon game on Wednesday.

The Rays and Astros open a four-game series on Thursday, June 19 at 7:10 p.m. Fans can purchase a Tampa Bay Times Ticket Tandem for Friday night's 7:10 p.m. game to receive a special limited edition Rays Duffle Bag. Saturday's Rays-Astros 4:10 p.m. game is Turn Back the Clock Night at Tropicana Field. Both teams will wear retro uniforms for the game. Following the game, legendary R&B group The O'Jays will perform at Tropicana Field as the second act in the 2014 Summer Concert Series presented by Ruth Eckerd Hall. The concert is free with the purchase of a ticket to Saturday's game. The O'Jays have been going strong for 40-plus years. Throughout its career, the group has achieved 10 Gold Albums (nine that have gone Platinum) and have recorded 10 No. 1 hits including "Back Stabbers," "For the Love of Money," "Love Train" and "I Love Music." The O'Jays have won numerous awards during their career including BET's Lifetime Achievement Award. They were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2012.

Sunday's 1:40 p.m. game against the Astros is also Tampa Bay Times Family Fun Day. When gates open at 11:40 a.m., kids 14 and under will receive a Ben Zobrist Plastic Bat and Ball Set, presented by DEX Imaging, while supplies last.

On Monday, June 23 at 7:10 p.m., the Rays and Pirates open a three-game set at Tropicana Field. This will be the Rays and Pirates fourth-ever series against one another and just the second-ever series at Tropicana Field. The two teams previously faced off at Tropicana Field from June 13-15, 2003.

TAMPA BAY TIMES FAMILY FUN DAY-Every Rays Sunday home game will feature free parking for cars with four or more passengers and a variety of free activities for kids on the concourse, courtesy of the Tampa Bay Times. Postgame Sunday will also feature Kids Run the Bases and the DJ Kitty Kids Party.
