Texas Rangers promote Jim Cochrane to Senior Vice President, Partnerships and Client

Arlington, Texas-The Texas Rangers today announced that Jim Cochrane has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Partnerships and Client Services.

Cochrane, who is in his 18th year with the Rangers organization, oversees and is responsible for managing a sales and service team that builds revenue through strategic partnerships with local, national and international corporations. 

"Jim Cochrane has been instrumental in the phenomenal growth of the Texas Rangers corporate partnership initiatives over the last several years," commented Rangers Executive Vice President, Business Partnerships and Development Joe Januszewski. "We are pleased to recognize his efforts with this well-deserved promotion."

Cochrane has spent the past seven years as Vice President of Partnerships and Client Services. The Rangers corporate sales team has attained a franchise single season high in partnership revenue each of the past three years with partnership revenue increasing 151% since the end of the 2010 season. Cochrane also played a key role in the negotiation of the 10-year ballpark naming rights agreement with Globe Life and Accident Insurance Company which was announced in February 2014. 

He began his career with the Rangers as an intern in 1997 and has also sold partnerships and media for the Dallas Stars Hockey Club (2000-2003, 2007-2009), Hicks Sports Group (2007-2009), Cedar Park Center (2007-2009) and Mesquite Championship Rodeo (2000-2003, 2007-2009). A native of Bedford, Texas, Jim earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from the University of Oklahoma in Norman.
