White Sox Charities to host "Wild Pitches" variety show

pecial event on July 20 will feature comedy, music and entertainment from White Sox players and wives

CHICAGO - Chicago White Sox Charities and the White Sox Wives will host the second annual variety show event - "Wild Pitches" on Sunday, July 20 at Bub City in Chicago.

This special variety show gives fans the opportunity to watch members of the White Sox showcase their off-the-field talents, including a performance from Paul and Jennifer Konerko. The evening of comedy, music and entertainment will be hosted by Chicago stand-up comedian Pat McGann and feature live music by the Rendition Band. The event also includes both live and silent auction packages.

Participating players and members of the White Sox Wives group include Brittany and Gordon Beckham, John Danks and his wife Ashley Monroe, Katie and Adam Eaton, Nancy and Tyler Flowers, and Lacy and Nate Jones. White Sox manager Robin Ventura and his wife Stephanie also are participating in the event. A limited number of tickets will be on sale starting Wednesday, June 25, for $125 each, which includes admission to the event, hors d'oeuvres, cocktails and a dinner buffet. Tickets can be purchased at whitesoxcharities.org.

Proceeds from the event will benefit Chicago White Sox Charities and its support of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana, which cares for families of children with complex medical needs by providing comfort, passion and a sense of community. RMHC-CNI keeps families of hospitalized children together in a "home away from home" in its four houses in the Chicago area.
