Royals Game Sold Out Tonight

Club Offers Fans Special Ticket Deal for Saturday & Sunday Matinee Games

KANSAS CITY, MO (June 20, 2014) - The Kansas City Royals game against the Seattle Mariners scheduled for 7:10 p.m. this evening is officially sold out. Fans who have not already purchased tickets for tonight's series opener are encouraged to not come out to Kauffman Stadium expecting to purchase tickets. Fans that do have tickets for tonight's game are encouraged to arrive early to reduce traffic congestions at Kauffman Stadium.

In light of the excitement surrounding the team's recent surge, the Royals are offering a special ticket deal for fans to come out to the ballpark this weekend to see the Royals take on the Mariners. Hy-Vee Infield seats for Saturday and Sunday, both 1:10 p.m. matinees, are priced at just $10. Fans can purchase tickets online at www.royals.com, by calling 1-800-6ROYALS, at area Hy-Vee stores or at the Kauffman Stadium Box Office. 

In addition to the weekend ticket deals, the Royals are also extending a special offer for Tuesday, June 24, as the Royals host Clayton Kershaw and the Los Angeles Dodgers in an interleague matchup. Hy-Vee Infield seats are available for $10. This offer expires Saturday at 6 p.m.

Royals lefty Jason Vargas (7-2, 3.25 ERA) will get the start for the Royals on Saturday against Seattle right-hander Chris Young (6-4, 3.40 ERA). Saturday's game is also a 610 Saturday at Kauffman Stadium. The Royals have teamed up with Entercom and 610 Sports Radio for special pregame festivities outside Rivals Sports Bar that include 610 Sports Radio personalities, special guests, food and drink specials and much more. Fans can enjoy the 610 Saturday Appetizer Special - Rivals Tacos for just $6.10 - in Rivals Sports Bar from the time the gates open until the first pitch.

For the series finale, right-hander Yordano Ventura (5-5, 3.26 ERA) will take the mound against left-hander Roenis Elias (6-5, 3.91 ERA) for the Mariners. Fans can come to the ballpark early to enjoy Family FunDay Sunday activities in the Outfield Experience. The pregame festivities include live entertainment by School of Rock, plus face painters, caricature or balloon artists and more. Fans also have the opportunity to get pregame autographs with select players from 11:45 a.m.-12:05 p.m. and can meet select former players in the Royals Hall of Fame from 12:15 p.m. until game time. Following the game, all fans 14 and under can run the bases after the game (conditions permitting) in the Sunday Fun Run.
