Red Sox organization mourns the loss of Jack Lanzillotti

Emmy-Award-Winning Producer Managed Video Productions at Fenway Park

BOSTON, MA - The Red Sox organization is mourning the loss of Jack Lanzillotti, who together with his girlfriend, Jessica Campbell, died after being struck by a vehicle that was involved in an accident last evening in Boston's Back Bay.

Lanzillotti, 28, was the Manager of Red Sox Productions/Game Operations, a position to which he had risen in his seven years with the club. The Emmy Award winner produced the video and scoreboard entertainment on a daily basis at Fenway Park. He also created many of the vignettes that entertained fans between innings as well as features on the award-winning "Red Sox Report" that runs weekly on NESN.

"Jack has been an important, respected, and beloved member of our organization for the past seven years," said Red Sox President/CEO Larry Lucchino. "His poise under pressure and good-humored manner helped us deliver consistently outstanding results. We are all grief-stricken, and we send our deepest sympathies and condolences to Jack's and Jessica's families."

Sarah McKenna, the club's Vice President/Fan Services and Entertainment, said, "Jack loved the Red Sox organization, and the Red Sox organization loved him. He was our go-to guy, someone you counted on to handle a tremendous work load, and someone you relied upon to use good judgment no matter the urgency or the hour. We are crushed. We have lost a dear and dedicated friend."

"Jack had an encyclopedic knowledge of Red Sox footage," said John Carter, Director of Red Sox Productions. "We would say, 'We need a shot of Johnny Pesky hitting a single,' and he would say, 'I know right where that is.' There is no way to describe how much we will miss him - professionally and personally. Our hearts are broken, and we share our sorrow with his family and with Jessica's family. It's just incomprehensible."

Lanzillotti won a New England Emmy Award in 2011 for a feature he co-produced with John Carter and Jason Gorden featuring Jacoby Ellsbury's base-stealing abilities.
