Fan-tastic Forty "Welcome to the Big Leagues" winner Sandy Rusch set to join the Brewers Tuesday

Rusch to receive MLB player salary for a day and a full personalized Brewers uniform

MILWAUKEE, WI - In January, the Brewers began their "Fan-Tastic Forty" promotion and awarded prizes for 40 consecutive days to various Season Seat Holders who renewed their ticket packages. For the fourth consecutive year, the team offered a variety of unique prizes and experiences during a 40-day period, including the Welcome to the Big Leagues prize. For this experience, the winner signs a one-day Major League contract which comes with a full uniform plus one day's pay at the MLB minimum salary ($2,732.24).

Sandy Rusch, a Brewers Season Seat Holder since 1988, won the Welcome to the Big Leagues prize. She will be introduced at a press conference tomorrow at Miller Park.

Rusch grew up in Milwaukee and has been a fan of baseball her entire life. Her love of the game is genetic with both her mom and dad having been huge fans of their beloved Milwaukee Braves. When she was only two months old the Braves won the 1957 World Series, and her parents took her to downtown Milwaukee to celebrate the victory with thousands of other "Bushville" fans. She's been hooked ever since and attends Brewers Spring Training each March in Phoenix, and has followed the Brewers to more than 20 different cities and ballparks around the United States and Canada. Her all-time favorite players are Hank Aaron and Rob Deer. Sandy currently resides in Milwaukee, where she serves as Communication Manager for the City of Milwaukee Department of Public Works.

In addition to the salary and uniform, Rusch will receive VIP treatment prior to Tuesday's game vs. the Philadelphia Phillies, fifty baseball cards with her likeness, a DVD of the highlight video shown at the press conference, a framed final page of her contract and the honor of throwing out the first pitch prior to the game.
