Texas Rangers to honor Derek Jeter prior to Wednesday's game

Arlington, Texas-The Texas Rangers will honor New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter prior to Wednesday night's game, his final contest ever in his 20-year career at Globe Life Park in Arlington.

The on-field pre-game ceremony will take place at 6:40 p.m. Former Rangers stars Ivan Rodriguez and Michael Young will be among the participants in the ceremony.

Jeter enters tonight's game with a .333 (105-315) batting average, 10 HR, and 40 RBI in 72 regular season games at Globe Life Park in Arlington. He is batting .310 (9-29) with 2 RBI in seven playoff games here in the 1996, 1998, and 1999 ALDS and the 2010 ALCS.
