White Sox option Andre Rienzo to Class AAA Charlotte

Following tonight's game at Seattle, the Chicago White Sox optioned right-handed pitcher Andre Rienzo to Class AAA Charlotte.

Rienzo, 26, is 4-5 with a 6.82 ERA (49 ER/64.2 IP) and 51 strikeouts in 18 appearances (11 starts) over two stints with the White Sox this season. He appeared in four games after being recalled from the Knights on July 24.

The White Sox will make a corresponding roster move prior to Friday night's game at Safeco Field.
