LHP Boone Logan Transferred to 60-Day DL

DENVER - The Colorado Rockies announced today that the club has recalled left-handed pitcher Yohan Flande and infielder Ben Paulsen from Triple-A Colorado Springs. In addition, the club has selected the contract of infielder Rafael Ynoa from Triple-A Colorado Springs. To make room on the 40-man roster for Ynoa, the Rockies have transferred left-handed pitcher Boone Logan (left elbow inflammation) to the 60-day disabled list. Flande (#58), Paulsen (#4) and Ynoa (#43) will all be in uniform and available for both of today's games vs. San Francisco (beginning at 2:10 p.m. MDT).

Flande, 28, has split the 2014 season between Triple-A Colorado Springs and in the Majors with the Rockies, his first Major League experience. In nine games/eight starts for Colorado, Flande is 0-5 with a 5.52 ERA (45.2 ip, 28 er). At Triple-A, Flande has gone 3-11 with a 5.60 ERA (88.1 ip, 55 er). Flande signed with Colorado as a Minor League free agent on November 25, 2013 and was a non-roster invitee to Major League Spring Training.

Paulsen, 26, has also split 2014 between Triple-A Colorado Springs and in the Majors with the Rockies, also his first experience at the Major League level. In 12 games with Colorado, Paulsen has batted .382 (13-for-34) with 4 doubles, 1 home run, 4 RBI and 4 runs scored. In 117 games with the Triple-A Sky Sox, Paulsen has batted .294 (128-for-435) with 32 doubles, 6 triples, 20 home runs, 76 RBI and 76 runs. Paulsen was named to the Pacific Coast League All-Star team in 2014. He was originally selected by Colorado in the third round of the 2009 First-Year Player Draft out of Clemson University.

Ynoa, 27, has spent the entire season to date at Triple-A Colorado Springs, his first experience at that level in his career. In 115 games for the Sky Sox, Ynoa hit .297 (127-for-427) with 31 doubles, 3 triples, 5 home runs, 32 RBI and 66 runs. Ynoa signed with the Rockies as a Minor League free agent on November 17, 2013 after spending each of his first eight professional seasons in the Los Angeles Dodgers organization. He will be looking to make his Major League debut with his first appearance for the Rockies.

Logan, 30, is in his first season with the Rockies after signing as a free agent during the offseason. In 35 games for the Rockies this season, Logan went 2-3 with a 6.84 ERA (25.0 ip, 19 er), 11 walks and 32 strikeouts. The Rockies are his fourth Major League team, as he previously pitched in the Majors with the Chicago White Sox (2006-08), Atlanta (2009) and the New York Yankees (2010-13). In 455 career Major League games, Logan is 26-15 with a 4.57 ERA (328.2 ip, 167 er), 143 walks and 336 strikeouts.
