White Sox outright Nestor Molina to Class AA Birmingham

Prior to today's game vs. Detroit, the Chicago White Sox outrighted right-handed pitcher Nestor Molina to Class AA Birmingham.

Molina, 25, is 7-4 with a 4.65 ERA (31 ER/60.0 IP), seven saves and 45 strikeouts over 43 relief appearances with Birmingham this season.

The 6-foot-1, 220-pound Molina was acquired from Toronto on December 6, 2011 in exchange for right-hander Sergio Santos. He is 41-23 with a 3.23 ERA (186 ER/518.2 IP), 17 saves and 441 strikeouts in 188 games (54 starts) over seven seasons with the Blue Jays and White Sox organizations.Following the move, the White Sox 40-man roster is at 39.
