Commissioner Selig, MLB All-Stars to Appear During Stand up to Cancer Fundraising Telecast Tonight

Commissioner Allan H. (Bud) Selig and all of Major League Baseball will be recognized during Stand Up To Cancer's (SU2C) nationally televised fundraising telecast airing live across major networks tonight at 8:00 p.m. ET.

As part of the acknowledgement, a never-before-seen vignette featuring 2014 MLB All-Stars standing up to cancer - including Derek Jeter, Mike Trout, Jose Bautista, Miguel Cabrera, Paul Goldschmidt, Adam Jones, Jon Lester and Giancarlo Stanton - will be unveiled.

MLB Network is one of 32 broadcast and cable networks donating one hour of simultaneous, commercial-free primetime for the special. Additionally, MLB Advanced Media will be one of three digital media entities providing a live stream with a simulcast on MLB.com.

As SU2C's founding donor, Major League Baseball and its 30 Clubs have committed more than $40 million to Stand Up To Cancer through 2014. MLB and its Clubs have collaborated with SU2C on significant awareness-building efforts, including public service announcements, in-stadium promotion and fundraising events, and MLB has dedicated one World Series game to the initiative in each of the past five years.
