Home Opener Slated for April 13 vs. Kansas City Royals

MINNEAPOLIS - ST PAUL, MN - The Minnesota Twins today announced their preliminary regular season schedule for the 2015 season; the team's 55th campaign in Twins Territory.

The Twins will open the season on the road against the Detroit Tigers (April 6, 8 and 9) followed by three games in Chicago against the White Sox (April 10-12).

The Twins then return home for the Opening Series at Target Field against the Kansas City Royals (April 13, 15 and 16) and a set against the Cleveland Indians (April 17-19).

The Twins will play 20 interleague games in 2015 (2 in May / 15 in June / 3 in July). The home interleague schedule includes a weekend series against the Milwaukee Brewers (June 5-7), a "home and home" series against the St. Louis Cardinals (June 17 and 18 at Target Field) a weekend series against the Chicago Cubs (June 19-21) and a visit by the Pittsburgh Pirates (July 28 and 29). In addition, the Twins will visit the Pittsburgh Pirates (May 19 and 20), the St. Louis Cardinals (June 15 and 16), the Milwaukee Brewers (June 26-28) and the Cincinnati Reds (June 29 and 30, July 1).

The Twins 2015 schedule features 10 home games in the month of April; 16 in May; 14 in June; 14 in July; 11 in August; 13 in September; and 3 in October. Other home schedule highlights include a three-game series against the Boston Red Sox starting on Memorial Day (May 25-27) and a weekend series against the New York Yankees (July 24-26).

The Twins will play each of their American League Central Division rivals 19 times: the Detroit Tigers (10 home/9 away), the Kansas City Royals (9 home/10 away), the Chicago White Sox (10 home/9 away) and the Cleveland Indians (9 home/10 away). The Twins will face all American League Central Division teams three series at home and three series on the road.
