Colorado Rockies 2015 schedule released

Home Opener is Friday, April 10th vs. Chicago Cubs at 2:10 p.m. MDT

DENVER - In collaboration with Major League Baseball, the Rockies today announced their full 162-game schedule for the 2015 Major League Baseball Season.

The Rockies open up the 2015 campaign on the road at Milwaukee for a three-game series, April 6-8, before the club hosts the Chicago Cubs at Coors Field for three games, beginning with the club's home opener on Friday, April 10th (2:10 p.m. MDT). Following the club's first six games against two separate teams from the National League Central, Colorado will play their following 25 games against division foes.

The Rockies Interleague schedule has them playing all five American League West teams, beginning with a two-game set in Los Angeles against the Angels on May 12-13. Colorado will also play at Houston (June 15-16), at Oakland (June 29-July 1) and at Seattle (September 11-13) during the regular season. In addition, the Houston Astros (June 17-18), the Los Angeles Angels (July 7-8), the Texas Rangers (July 20-22) and the Seattle Mariners (August 3-5) will all come to Denver during the 2015 season.

The Rockies will play the standard 19 games against each of their four National League West division rivals, with the club hosting 10 games throughout the season against the Giants and Padres and nine games against the Diamondbacks and Dodgers.

The annual fireworks shows are scheduled for May 22 after the game against the Giants, July 10 after the game against the Braves, and September 25, after the game against the Dodgers. Colorado will head to their home-opener opponent's confines, Wrigley Field, on July 27-29 followed by a three-game series in St. Louis, July 30-August 1. The Rockies welcome the Cardinals to Coors Field, June 8-10. Other series of note include a four-game home series against Atlanta, July 9-12, which includes the previously mentioned fireworks show, and a three-game set hosting the New York Mets, August 21-23.
