Rockies activate OF Michael Cuddyer from the 15-day disabled list

Cuddyer will be available for tonight's game in New York

The Colorado Rockies announced today that the club has activated outfielder Michael Cuddyer (left hamstring strain) from the 15-day disabled list. Cuddyer will be available for tonight's Rockies at Mets game at Citi Field (5:10 p.m. MDT).

Cuddyer, 35, was placed on the disabled list for the third time this season on August 24. In 34 games this year for Colorado, he has hit .331 (43-for-130) with 8 doubles, 1 triple, 6 home runs, 19 RBI and 20 runs. On August 17 against Cincinnati (Game 2), Cuddyer went 4-for-5 with a double, triple, home run, 3 RBI and 3 runs to become the seventh Rockie to hit for the cycle and just the third player in Major League history to hit for the cycle in each of the National and American Leagues, joining John Olerud and Bob Watson. His other cycle came on May 22, 2009 against Milwaukee when he was with Minnesota. The Norfolk, VA native has played in 1,404 career games hitting .278 (1404-for-5049) with 308 doubles, 41 triples, 183 home runs, 741 RBI and 752 runs.
