Homestand Highlights: September 11-21

Beers of The K, Bark at the Park and Fan Appreciation Day All Part of Fun-Filled Homestand

KANSAS CITY, MO (September 9, 2014) - The Kansas City Royals return to Kauffman Stadium host their final homestand of the regular season against the Boston Red Sox (September 11-14), Chicago White Sox (September 15-17) and Detroit Tigers (September 19-21). Fans can take part in great events including Beers of 'The K' (September 12), Bark at the Park (September 17), Futures Night (September 19), and Fan Appreciation Day (September 20). Also, please note that the game on Saturday, September 20 has been moved from 6:10 p.m. to 12:05 p.m. CT to accommodate FOX and its Saturday baseball package. The game will be televised exclusively on the FOX Network.  

Thursday, September 11 - Boston Red Sox vs. Royals, 7:10 p.m.

  • GordoNation - Fans can enjoy being a part of GordoNation, a special seating section in left field reserved for die-hard Alex Gordon fans on Thursday home games throughout the season.   • All You Can Eat Seats - Fans can purchase All You Can Eat Seats located in the Loge Level (Sec. 318 - 325), which include unlimited ballpark fare.   • First Responders Night - The Royals and GovX are proud to salute members of the military and first responders. During select games throughout the season, members were honored during a special presentation. On this night, representatives from different service branches throughout the Kansas City area will be on-hand for a special pregame presentation. Friday, September 12 - Boston Red Sox vs. Royals, 7:10 p.m.

  • Beers of 'The K' - The Royals will host a special pregame beer event in the Outfield Experience barbeque area. From 4-8 p.m. fans can sample a variety of specialty beers while listening to music from DJ Kirby. Packages start at $18 and include a ticket to that night's game, admission to Beers of 'The K', and a Royals 4-ounce tasting mug (photo attached). Saturday, September 13 - Boston Red Sox vs. Royals, 6:10 p.m.

  • Bark at the Park - The first Bark at the Park was such a success that the Royals decided to host a second event for the 2014 season! Ticket packages for the event include a dog mat (photo attached) and a $5 donation to KC Pet Project.   • Student Night presented by INK Magazine - Rivals Outfield Box or Hy-Vee Infield tickets are available for Wednesday home games for youth and students with a valid ID at the Kauffman Stadium Box Office for just $8. All Student Nights include pregame food and beverage specials available at the Crown Classic concession area.
  • Local Music Showcase presented by INK Magazine - Catch a free pregame concert on us. Every Wednesday Student Night also features live local music prior to the game in the Outfield Experience.   • Futures Night - The Royals salute the Pitchers and Players of the Year from each minor league affiliate prior to the game. All of the players are expected to participate in an autograph session from 5:30-6:15 p.m. at Gate A near the Royals Hall of Fame before receiving their awards in a special pregame ceremony.
