- "No Place for Hate" Anti-Bullying Rally: The Braves and the Anti-Defamation League will team up to host a "No Place For Hate" anti-bullying rally in Fan Plaza at 5:30pm. Former Braves player Brian Jordan will speak to youth in attendance about bullying and the youth will take a pledge to strike out bullying. Several youth from area schools will participate in a pregame ceremony and be honored for their part in helping make their schools a "No Place for Hate" school.
- Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign at Turner Field: Salvation Army Volunteers will be in Monument Grove with the signature Red Kettles to fundraise. The Salvation Army provides food, shelter and social services to those in need throughout the year, not just during the holiday season. The 16 piece Salvation Army Brass band will perform in Fan Plaza.

Major League Baseball annually bestows the award to recognize the player who best represents the game of Baseball through sportsmanship, community involvement and positive contributions, both on and off the field.
