Marlins to host final homestand of 2014 campaign against the Washington Nationals and Philadelphia Phillies

The Miami Marlins begin their final homestand of the 2014 campaign on Thursday, September 18, with a four-game series against the Washington Nationals. Following an off-day on Monday, Sept. 22, the Marlins will host the Philadelphia Phillies for a three-game series.

During this homestand, the Marlins will recognize Feeding South Florida as a 2014 Marlins Charity Partner on Friday; the charity will be presented a check for $25,000 during a pregame ceremony. Feeding South Florida's mission is to end hunger in South Florida by providing immediate access to nutritious food, leading hunger and poverty advocacy efforts, and transforming lives through innovative programming and education. Then on Saturday, the Marlins will celebrate Hispanic Heritage Night presented by Outback Steakhouse. Fans who purchase a $25 special event ticket will receive a limited-edition Marlins Hispanic Heritage T-Shirt (based on availability).

The homestand will also feature two giveaways. On Sunday, the first 12,000 fans will receive a Jose Fernandez Bobblehead. Then on Thursday, closing day at Marlins Park, all fans will receive a 2015 Miami Marlins Magnetic Schedule courtesy of Pepsi.
