Homestand features: Oktoberfest, Yoga Day and Fan Appreciation Day

SAN FRANCISCO, CA - The Giants return to AT&T Park for their final regular season homestand against the San Diego Padres, beginning Thursday night (September 25-28).

Thursday, September 25, is Oktoberfest at AT&T Park. Special event ticket holders will receive access to the private pre-game Oktoberfest in Seals Plaza from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. and a special edition Oktoberfest-themed Giants hat.

Also on September 25, the Giants will celebrate the 60th Anniversary of Giants Hall of Famer Willie Mays' over-the-shoulder catch in Game 1 of the 1954 World Series, presented by AT&T. Fans who purchase a special event ticket will receive a collector's edition Giants t-shirt depicting "The Catch". Partial proceeds from each special event ticket sold will support The Say Hey Foundation.

On Friday September 26, the Giants will host African American Heritage Night at AT&T Park. Special event ticket holders will receive a collector's edition bobblehead of Giants Hall of Famer, Willie McCovey, commemorating his 1969 banner season in which he won both the National League MVP and the All Star Game MVP. Proceeds from each special event ticket sold will support various charitable programs in the African American community, as well as the Junior Giants.

This year's winner will be joined by past recipients including Larry Herndon, Darrell Evans, Bob Brenly, Mike Krukow, Chris Speier, Dave Dravecky, Robby Thompson, Mike Felder, Kirt Manwaring, J.T. Fans who attend will have a chance to meet former Giants Pitcher, and current Giants Community Ambassador, Dave Dravecky.

Prior to Saturday's game, Pablo Sandoval will be awarded the Jose Uribe Sportsmanship Award by the Hispanic Heritage Baseball Museum Hall of Fame. Since 2009, the award is presented to the player for their contributions to the game of baseball and to their Hispanic community in memory of the late Giants Dominican shortstop, Jose Uribe. The Hispanic Heritage Museum, Inc., was established in San Francisco in June 1999 as a not for profit institution and is dedicated to recognizing the contributions made to baseball by its Hispanic players.

Saturday, September 27 is also the third annual Yoga Day at the Park. Fans who purchase a special event ticket will receive an orange Giants-themed yoga mat and admission to the private post-game yoga session with award-winning Bay Area-native musician and avid yoga instructor, Michael Franti, and San Francisco yoga instructor, Janet Stone, which will take place on the field approximately one (1) hour after the final out of the game. In addition, Michael Franti will be playing live music for the group, adding to the on-field ambiance.

Sunday, September 28 is Fan Appreciation Day. Prizes will be given away throughout the game, including the grand prize of a 2014 Toyota Rav4 to one lucky winner. A special post-game thank you from the 2014 team to the fans will take place immediately following the game.
