2013 Astros FanFest event set for Jan. 26 at Minute Maid Park

Event includes autograph and "Talkin' Baseball" sessions, field access for fans

HOUSTON, TX - The Houston Astros will host the club's annual FanFest event on Saturday, Jan. 26 at Minute Maid Park. The event, which is free to the public with a voucher, will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and caps off the Astros week-long CAREavan.

Player autograph sessions will take place on the first and third base warning tracks on the field. Autograph vouchers will be for sale at FanFest for $10 per session. For each session, 200 vouchers will be sold to ensure that each fan who purchases will be guaranteed to get through the line. The list of current Astros players scheduled to sign autographs throughout the day are: Jose Altuve, Jason Castro, Carlos Correa, Jarred Cosart, Lucas Harrell, Jordan Lyles, J.D. Martinez, Justin Maxwell, Bud Norris, Carlos Pena and Brett Wallace. Former players scheduled to sign autographs include Brandon Backe, Jose Cruz, Larry Dierker, Art Howe, J.R. Richard, Alex Trevino, Carl Warwick, Jimmy Wynn and more. New Manager Bo Porter, Hall of Fame broadcaster Milo Hamilton and Astros longtime television broadcaster Bill Brown will also sign autographs.

This year's festival will also include "Talkin' Baseball" sessions, the chance to both pitch in the Astros bullpen and take swings in the Astros batting cage, an interactive kids zone, vendor expo, and several additional activities for fans of all ages. New Astros merchandise will be available for sale, and fans will also have the opportunity to purchase autographed and game-used memorabilia, as well as promotional items and MLB Authentics.

A portion of the proceeds from the event will benefit the Astros In Action Foundation.
