2017 Dr. Pepper Texas Rangers awards dinner to take place Jan. 20 at Gilley's

Award recipients to include 2016 Rangers Player of the Year Adrian Beltre.

The 2017 Dr Pepper Texas Rangers Awards Dinner take place on Friday, January 20 at Gilley's Dallas. Details of the event were announced today.
Tickets for the dinner, which will honor a number of baseball personalities and feature appearances by Texas Rangers past and present, are now on sale at www.texasrangers.com/awards.
Among the honorees will be third baseman Adrian Beltre, who was announced today as the Texas Rangers 2016 Player of the Year in voting conducted by the Dallas-Fort Worth Chapter of the Baseball Writers Association of America. 
It marks the fourth time that Beltre has been selected as the Rangers' Player of the Year (2012-14), matching Ruben Sierra for the second most such honors all-time behind five each for Juan Gonzalez and Michael Young.
Beltre batted .300 with 32 home runs and 104 RBI in 153 games for Texas in 2016. He tied for 9th in the A.L. in RBI and posted the league's 12th highest batting average. Beltre also won his 5th Rawlings Gold Glove for defensive excellence at third base while placing 7th in the 2016 BBWAA A.L. MVP voting announced on Thursday.
Other award recipients will be announced in the upcoming weeks, including the Rangers' 2016 Pitcher and Rookie of the Year, the Harold McKinney Good Guy Award, and the Richard Durrett Hardest Working Man Award.
Tickets for the Dr Pepper Awards Dinner are priced at $100.00 each with tables of ten available for $1000.00. Net proceeds benefit the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation. The dinner will begin at 7:00 p.m.
