22nd Annual Red Sox Wives Cash and Can Drive to take place Wednesday and Thursday at Fenway Park

Donations to Benefit the Greater Boston Food Bank

The 22nd annual Red Sox Wives Cash and Can Drive will take place this Wednesday, July 24, and Thursday, July 25 at Fenway Park, starting at 5:40 p.m. each day.

Fans making a donation to help the Greater Boston Food Bank fight hunger may bring canned food items or make a cash donation.

The Red Sox Wives will give autographed pictures of Red Sox players (while supplies last) to fans that bring $10 in cash or 10 non-perishable food items. Canned food items such as tuna fish, peanut butter, canned fruits and vegetables, red and brown beans, and juice boxes are preferred. The Wives will greet fans at the gates until the second inning.

Last year, the event raised $16,655 and 2,224 pounds of food, enough to provide 40,116 meals to those in need across eastern Massachusetts. Over the past 21 years, this summer tradition has raised nearly $250,000 and more than 160,000 pounds of food.
