3 Minor Leaguers receive suspensions

Three Minor League players were suspended by the Commissioner's Office on Friday for violating the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.
Brewers farmhand Phil Bickford and Marlins Minor League outfielder Casey Soltis each received 50-game suspensions following second violations of testing positive for a drug of abuse. Blue Jays Minor League right-hander Pedro Loficial was suspended for 72 games after testing positive for metabolites of Stanozolol, a performance-enhancing substance.
All three suspensions will begin at the start of each player's Minor League seasons.
Bickford, the club's No. 5 prospect per MLBPipeline.com, is on the roster of the Class A Advanced Carolina Mudcats. The right-hander was acquired by Milwaukee from San Francisco as part of last season's trade for .
Soltis is currently on the roster of the Class A Greensboro Grasshoppers, while Loficial is a member of the Rookie-level Dominican Summer League Blue Jays roster.
