Air McFly?

"Hello! Hello, anybody home? Think, McFly, think!" Ah, the everyday life of George McFly and his struggles living in the small town of Hilldale back in 1955.

Who would have thought that his life would have been changed so much for the better when his son Marty accidentally dropped in on him from the year 1985 in a time traveling DeLorean? I didn't see it coming.

The DeLorean Doc Brown "pimped out" was awesome. The hover board that Marty used to escape a future relative of his father's nemesis, Biff Tannen, was also something I'd like to own. But one of the coolest items to come out of the Back to The Future saga was a pair of futuristic Nikes…Air McFlys, if you will.

I remember seeing those kicks when the second movie was released and thinking, "I'm getting a pair of those in the future!" Well, it's been a while, let's get cracking, Nike! I won't be able to pull them off when I'm 75 years old. Not a lot of good pick up games at the Shady Lane Retirement Home…

But hold the phone! What's this?! Nike is actually going to bring Air McFlys to a sporting good store near you!…well, hopefully.

Rapper Tinie Tempah recently bought a pair at a charity auction. I had a chance to ask him about it when he was here to sing his Postseason anthem, "Written in the Stars."

Check out more of Tinie Tempah's appearance here.

When I read this story. I have to admit, I was pretty excited and it got me thinking of other items from movies that should be made available to the general public.

1.) Lightsabers! I think we are more than ready for the actual, working weapon of Sith Lords and Jedi Knights. Don't worry, there would be a 30-day application process you would have to complete before being issued one; and I'm not even talking about just using them to protect yourself…think of all the other ways you could use a lightsaber... Cutting logs for the winter chimney fires, bug zapper, night light, etc…

Get on it, inventors of the world. I'm looking for a Christmas 2014 release date.

2.) Transporter Room! I like to get where I'm going without the hassle of a lot of travel time. In the Star Trek world they were beaming from ship to planet and so on…I don't even need it to be that advanced. I just want to go from the apartment to Yankee Stadium or my favorite Lower East Side pub…or Florida. Yes! Scotty, beam me down to Orlando for the day. ENERGIZE!

3.) Flying Broomsticks! Yea, It is no secret that I have a bone to pick with the Harry Potter world…so here is a way they can officially make peace with me. Send me a flying broomstick! Get cracking, Hogwarts staff! Then I will assemble the United States National Quidditch Team and bring a truck of Red,White and Blue hurt to the World Cup! No US Team, JK?! Ok, madam…it's on like Donkey Kong! Get ready to see the best baseball, hockey, and lacrosse players in the world suit up and fly ourselves into become a Quidditch Powerhouse…well, be like the Swiss in the Biathlon! …that's dominate if you are keeping score at home!

What are some items from the movies you'd like to see in your own home?
