A's to give tickets to residents affected by fires

April 4th, 2018

OAKLAND, Calif. -- All individuals affected by the 2017 Northern California fires can enjoy an A's game for free when the team hosts North Bay Day on Sunday, June 10 during the 1:05 p.m. game versus the Kansas City Royals. The day will also include tributes to first responders and firefighters, as well as fundraising opportunities to support North Bay nonprofit organizations.

"Following the Northern California fires last fall, we saw that baseball had the ability to provide relief and healing to a community facing such devastation," said Catherine Aker, vice president of communications and community for the A's. "We immediately took part in relief efforts, and we are proud to continue to help support these communities. North Bay Day is just another way we can give back to our fans."

Fans can receive two complimentary tickets by visiting athletics.com/northbayday. Individuals will be asked to show a photo ID with an address from a city affected by the fires to claim their tickets on the day of the game.

Fans from other communities who would like to attend this game can purchase a firefighter appreciation special ticket at athletics.com/firefighters.
