Officially cemented as MLB Pipeline's new No. 1 overall prospect, Adley Rutschman belted his first Triple-A home run and went 3-for-4 with two runs scored and an RBI during Game 1 of a doubleheader in Charlotte. The switch-hitting backstop is now 11-for-25 with as many extra-base hits (3) as strikeouts through his first six career Triple-A games. Adley Rutschman went 0-for-4 with a strikeout during Game 1 of Triple-A Norfolk's doubleheader Sunday. MLB Pipeline's No. 1 overall prospect didn't play in Game 2. MLB Pipeline's No. 1 overall prospect Adley Rutschman went 1-for-4 with a clutch two-RBI single which gave Norfolk a late lead on the way to a 7-5 victory Wednesday night. The Oregon State product also stole his first base at the Triple-A level, just his second of the season and third total across 119 Minor League games. Aug. 10: RBI single highlights two-hit Triple-A debut
Adley Rutschman introduced himself to Triple-A Norfolk in style on Tuesday, doubling and driving in a run for the Tides. The Orioles' top prospect was called up following Sunday's game and promptly had himself a 2-for-4 game in his debut. His RBI came on a sixth-inning single and he came around to score in the eighth on a Jahmai Jones base knock. Aug. 8: Unable to break up combined no-hitter
Adley Rutschman and the rest of the Bowie Baysox could not break up a Somerset Patriots combined no-hitter Sunday afternoon, falling by a 7-0 final score. New York Yankees right-hander Luis Severino began the game and threw four innings while on a rehab assignment before handing the ball over to Shawn Semple and Ron Marinaccio. It is a very good time to be Adley Rutschman right now, as baseball's No. 2 ranked prospect launched his 18th home run of the year for his fourth extra-base hit in three games. Rutschman went 1-for-4 at the dish while leading the Bowie pitching staff to a 12-strikeout, 3-0 shutout from behind the plate as well. Aug. 3: Smacks homer and double
Adley Rutschman launched his 17th homer of the season on Tuesday, as Double-A Bowie fell to Somerset. His homer was a two-run shot to open the scoring for the Baysox in his first at-bat. Rutschman also added a double to his stat line in the third, his 15th of the year.
