Gray takes on Rays: TB@OAK, 3:35 p.m.
A's right-hander Sonny Gray is only likely to increase his already soaring trade value with another solid outing as he looks to build on his last four. Gray has retuned to form after a tough start to the season, going 3-1 with a 1.33 ERA in his last four starts.

Taking the ball on the Rays side is rookie phenomenon Jacob Faria, who has recorded a quality start in all seven of his outings to begin his career. The 23-year-old has been a huge boost for the surging Rays, going 4-0 with a 2.00 ERA since his debut on June 7.
Mariners looking to gain ground: SEA@HOU, 2:10 p.m.
Seattle enters Wednesday as one of the hottest teams in baseball, and it is sending perhaps its hottest starter to the mound in left-hander James Paxton to face Houston.
Paxton has won all three of his starts this month to pair with a 2.33 ERA and 21 strikeouts in 19 1/3 innings.
The Astros counter with right-hander Charlie Morton, who has been extremely hot of late. The 33-year-old has won six of his last seven decisions.

MVP meeting: WSH@LAA, 10:07 p.m.
Bryce Harper and Michael Trout meet as the Nationals and Angels wrap up the short two-game set at Angel Stadium. The two All-Stars will face off again next month when the Halos visit Washington.
Washington left-hander Giovany Gonzalez opened up the second half with his best outing of the season, holding the Reds scoreless over 8 1/3 frames on Friday. He'll oppose Alex Meyer, who will be recalled from Triple-A Salt Lake on Wednesday to face the Nationals, the team that selected him in the first round of the 2011 Draft.
