Report: Anthopoulos won't join Twins' front office

September 9th, 2016

Alex Anthopoulos is no longer being considered for the Twins' front office, according to the St. Paul Pioneer Press.
Anthopoulos, the Blue Jays' former vice president of baseball operations and general manager, told associates "the timing isn't right for him to jump back into the GM pool," according to the report.
Anthopoulos, 39, is currently the Dodgers' vice president of baseball operations.
The Twins, who parted ways with longtime general manager Terry Ryan in July, are expected to shift to a two-tier system, with a president of baseball operations and a general manager.
