Center fielder Abraham Almonte was 3-for-5 with his 18th double, a steal and two RBIs Tuesday night as Triple-A El Paso earned a 6-3 win at Sacramento to climb back to .500 at 48-48.
Shortstop Mike McCoy (.227) was 2-for-4 with a double, an RBI and two runs scored.
Left-handed starter Jason Lane picked up his eighth win (8-6), allowing three runs (two earned) on seven hits and a walk in six innings to lower his earned run average to 5.16.
Right-handed reliever Nick Vincent (4.55 ERA) allowed two hits with a strikeout in a scoreless inning. Right-hander Jay Jackson (1.93) pitched a perfect eighth, and right-hander Cory Mazzoni (3.97) struck out two in a perfect ninth to get his fifth save.

Starting RHP Eliot Morris (3-9, 4.98 ERA) allowed four runs on seven hits and a walk with five strikeouts in seven innings. LHP Eury De La Rosa (0.00) allowed a hit and a walk with three strikeouts in two innings.
HIGH SINGLE-A LAKE ELSINORE (38-57): MODESTO 2, Storm 1 -- Starting RHP Zech Lemond (4-9, 5.51 ERA) allowed two runs on five hits with two strikeouts in five innings. LHP Chris Nunn (5.35) gave up two hits in two scoreless innings. LF Nick Torres was 2-for-4 and drove in Lake Elsinore's lone run to raise his average to .324 since being promoted from Single-A Fort Wayne. CF Auston Bousfield (.292) was 0-for-2 with two walks and a run scored.
LOW SINGLE-A FORT WAYNE (46-48): LAKE COUNTY 3, TinCaps 2 -- C Jose Ruiz (.212) was 3-for-4 with a run scored. CF Edwin Moreno (.301) was 2-for-4 with a run scored. DH Michael Gettys (.230) was 1-for-4 and drove in both Fort Wayne runs. RHP Jacob Nix, the Padres' third-round pick in June, made his professional debut and issued a walk with three strikeouts in a scoreless inning.
