Angels pick up shortstop Rosa in 13th round

The Angels broke away from their pitcher-heavy draft in the 13th round of the First-Year Player Draft, when they selected Angel Rosa, a shortstop from Alcorn State University in Mississippi, on Saturday.

Rosa, listed at 6-foot-2 and 190 pounds, is also a product of the Puerto Rico Baseball Academy.

The shortstop hit .294 and stole 17 bases (21 attempts) last season at Alcorn State.
