Angels-Red Sox postponed due to weather
Day-Night doubleheader scheduled for Monday at Angel Stadium
Tonight's Angels-Red Sox game has been postponed due to inclement weather. The contest has been rescheduled as part of a day-night doubleheader taking place tomorrow (Monday) at Angel Stadium. Game 1 will begin at 2:00 p.m. with the second game slated for 7:00 p.m. Both games will air on Fox Sports West. Tickets for today's postponed game will be honored tomorrow for the 2 p.m. contest.
Tonight's home rainout is the 16th in Angels history and the first at Angel Stadium since the Club's contest on June 16, 1995 against the Chicago White Sox, snapping a streak of 1,609 consecutive home games without a rainout. Tomorrow's doubleheader is the first at Angel Stadium since Sept. 6, 2003 against the Kansas City Royals. That contest was a makeup of a rainout earlier in the season in Kansas City. Tomorrow will be the first doubleheader at Angel Stadium due to a rainout in Anaheim since Aug. 5, 1988 vs. the Chicago White Sox (makeup of the April 14, 1988 rainout).
