ANAHEIM -- Angels manager Mike Scioscia does not foresee any changes to the coaching staff moving forward, based off his discussions with general manager Billy Eppler.
"Nothing has been announced, but I'm not anticipating any changes from talking with Billy," Scioscia said before Sunday's season finale against the Astros.
The Angels have eight of 11 coaches in their first full seasons in their current roles. That list includes: David Hansen (hitting coach), Paul Sorrento (assistant hitting coach), Charles Nagy (pitching coach), Gary DiSarcina (first-base coach), Ron Roenicke (third-base coach), Alfredo Griffin (infield coach), Scott Radinsky (bullpen coach) and Steve Soliz (catching and information coach).
Hansen, Sorrento, DiSarcina, Griffin and Sorrento have all been with the team for consecutive years, but they switched roles this season.
Dino Ebel is in his third year as bench coach and Thomas Gregorio has been the bullpen catcher for six seasons.
"Everyone on our staff is different as far as how they go about doing their job," said Scioscia, who expects to return for an 18th season as manager in 2017.
Scioscia was asked specifically about Nagy. He replaced Mike Butcher, who served as Angels pitching coach from 2007-15.
"I think that they did a really good job, both Charlie and Scott, of maintaining our pitching staff where it needed to be," Scioscia said. "I think with a lot of the turmoil that happened in our rotation, I think that Charlie did a really good job with having these guys ready and having game plans ready. We know what we need to improve on, but he did a terrific job."
