Latest no-no means free pizza today

The American League finally is giving free pizza to the fans.

For the first time since Domino's and Major League Baseball Advanced Media teamed up on the #DomiNoNo promotion starting with the 2013 season, an AL club has delivered. The most recent AL no-hitter had been at Seattle on Aug. 15, 2012, and this time it was at Seattle again on Aug. 12, 2015 -- following a streak of 12 consecutive no-hitters to come from the National League.

Starting at 3 p.m. ET today, the first 20,000 baseball fans who visit and log in at MLB.com/dominos will receive a code for a free two-topping medium Handmade Pan Pizza.

The DomiNoNo offer is available until 20,000 codes are given away, or for five days starting at 3 p.m. ET on the business day following the no-hitter.

"What better way to celebrate one of the greatest achievements in sports -- the no-hitter -- than with free pizza?" Domino's spokesperson Tim McIntryre said. "Domino's is excited to be partnering with MLB.com to continue giving baseball fans a delicious way to get in on the excitement."

This was the fourth no-hitter and Domino's free pizza giveaway in 2015 -- the most in any season during the #DomiNoNo campaign -- following the ones by the Giants, Nationals and Phillies earlier this year. The pizza codes went quick then, so act fast. There have been 243 no-hitters since 1901, an average of more than two per season.

When a no-hitter is in progress through the sixth inning of any game this regular season, you will be encouraged to follow @MLB on Twitter and use the #DomiNoNo hashtag for up-to-the-moment game alerts or watch live look-ins on MLB.com or the award-winning MLB.com At Bat app.
