Diehard fan Lamb inspired by visit to Seahawks' practice

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- D-backs third baseman Jake Lamb got the opportunity to watch his favorite NFL team, the Seattle Seahawks, practice this offseason.

"It was fun just seeing a team like that, the way they practice and everything," Lamb said.

The Seahawks, under head coach Pete Carroll, are known for their all-out style of play, which carries over into practice. Carroll's philosophy is centered on competition in all areas, including during practices.

"It's like they're going out to prove something, they go out to win every day," Lamb said. "Being as good as they are they could pull up a little bit, but they don't do that. Football is so tough on the body I can only imagine the kind of injuries these guys are going through, but the way they bring it to every practice is pretty amazing."
