A's Announce Starting Pitchers For First Two Alds Games
Melvin Targets Jarrod Parker, Tommy Milone for Games 1 & 2 in Detroit
Oakland A's Manager Bob Melvin announced today that right-hander Jarrod Parker will start Game 1 of the American League Division Series in Detroit tomorrow, while left-hander Tommy Milone gets the nod in Game 2 Sunday.
Parker (13-8, 3.47 ERA) and Milone (13-10, 3.74 ERA) set the Oakland record for most wins by a rookie pitcher this season, both surpassing the previous mark of 12 victories held by Chris Codiroli (1983) and Joe Blanton (2005).
