Hendriks' return from DL stint imminent

OAKLAND -- Right-hander Liam Hendriks is on the verge of returning from the disabled list, A's manager Bob Melvin said Saturday.
"He's ready to go, so here in the next couple days we'll probably look to activate him, just not today," Melvin said.
Hendriks, who has been on the DL with a triceps strain since May 8, made four Minor League rehab appearances, his most recent a two-inning outing with Triple-A Nashville on Thursday. He allowed one run on two hits and one walk with one strikeout.
"I felt really good," Hendriks said. "Ball's coming out good."
Hendriks made 11 appearances before going down with the injury, pitching to an 8.27 ERA with 15 earned runs allowed across 16 1/3 innings.
Worth noting
• The A's optioned utility man Tyler Ladendorf to Triple-A Nashville to make room for Saturday's starter Andrew Triggs. Ladendorf had just two hits in 23 at-bats in his second stint with the A's.
• San Jose Sharks players Logan Couture, Martin Jones, Brenden Dillon, Barclay Goodrow and Justin Braun visited with A's players prior to Saturday's game. Jones, Dillon and Braun threw out the ceremonial first pitches.
