A's OF Josh Reddick has successful right wrist surgery

OAKLAND, Calif. -Oakland A's outfielder Josh Reddick has undergone successful surgery on his right wrist, the club announced today.

The surgery was performed by Dr. Mark Belsky at Newton Wellesley Hospital in Newton, Mass. this morning. Dr. Belsky performed a TFCC debridement of Reddick's right wrist. Reddick is expected to be fully recovered for Spring Training.

Reddick batted .226 with 12 home runs in 56 RBI in 114 games with the A's in 2013 in a season interrupted by two stints on the disabled list with a sprained right wrist. He was batting .152 in 29 games before his first stay on the DL from May 7 to 30. Reddick batted .287 in his first 25 games following the injury but was hitting .213 overall when he returned to the DL a second time Aug. 26. He was reinstated Sept. 10 and hit .304 with two home runs and 10 RBI over his final 17 games.
