A's option two players and reassign four to Minor League camp

MESA, Ariz. - The Oakland A's optioned right-handed pitcher Chad Smith and left-handed pitcher Eury De La Rosa to Triple-A Nashville the club announced today. In addition the A's also reassigned right-handed pitcher Matt Buschmann, catcher Bruce Maxwell and infielders Alden Carrithers and Niuman Romero to their minor league camp.

The A's now have 51 players in camp, which does not include two players on the 60-day disabled list. That includes 36 players on the 40-man roster, which is full, and 15 non-roster invitees. The breakdown includes 24 pitchers, five catchers, 15 infielders and seven outfielders.
