A's recall RHP Triggs from Triple-A Nashville; option IF Ladendorf

Triggs joins the A's for the fifth time this year and has no decisions and an 8.00 ERA in 10 relief appearances with Oakland.

The Oakland A's recalled right-handed pitcher Andrew Triggs from Triple-A Nashville and optioned infielder Tyler Ladendorf to Nashville, the club announced today.
Triggs joins the A's for the fifth time this year and has no decisions and an 8.00 ERA in 10 relief appearances with Oakland. He pitched in two games over his first three stints and saw his most action during his last stay from May 10 to June 3 when he compiled a 9.00 ERA and .338 opponents batting average in eight games. The 27-year-old right-hander is 2-1 with two saves and a 3.48 ERA in nine relief appearances with Nashville. Triggs has allowed a .179 opponents batting average at Triple-A, including .083 (1-for-12) against left-handed hitters. He did not allow a run in two games following his June 4 option from Oakland (2.1 ip, 1 h, 5 so).
Ladendorf was batting .080 with no extra base hits and one RBI in 26 games over two stints with the A's. He is 2-for-23 (.087) in 20 games since he was recalled from Nashville May 10 for his second stint. Ladendorf is batting .239 with a home run and three RBI in 16 games with the Sounds.
