A's reinstate 3B Chapman from DL, option 1B/OF Olson to Nashville

The Oakland A's reinstated third baseman Matt Chapman from the 10-day disabled list and optioned first baseman/outfielder Matt Olson to Nashville, the club announced today.

The Oakland A's reinstated third baseman Matt Chapman from the 10-day disabled list and optioned first baseman/outfielder Matt Olson to Nashville, the club announced today.
Chapman was selected from Nashville June 15 and went 3-for-14 (.214) with three RBI in a four-game series against New York before going on the disabled list June 22 retroactive to June 19 with left knee cellulitis. He was 0-for-7 with a walk on a two-game rehab assignment with Single-A Stockton on Saturday and Sunday. Chapman also hit .257 with 16 home runs and 30 RBI in 49 games with Nashville and was tied for fifth in all of the Minor Leagues in home runs at the time of his promotion.
Olson is batting .184 with four home runs and nine RBI in 16 games over four stints with Oakland. His most recent stay with the A's began on June 22 and he was 9-for-40 (.225) with four home runs, eight RBI and six walks in 10 games. Olson is hitting .271 with 17 home runs and 43 RBI in 58 games with Nashville.
