A's reinstate LHP Sean Nolin from the DL and option him to Nashville

OAKLAND, Calif. - The Oakland A's reinstated left-handed pitcher Sean Nolin from the 15-day disabled list and optioned him to Triple-A Nashville, the club announced today.

Nolin did not pitch this spring and began the season on the DL as he continued to recover from off-season bilateral core surgery. He began a rehab assignment with Nashville May 5 and did not allow a run in 6.0 innings over three appearances, including one start, with the Sounds. Opponents batted .150 and he walked two while striking out six. Nolin was one of four players acquired from the Toronto Blue Jays for Josh Donaldson on Nov. 28, 2014.
