A's reinstate RHP Sonny Gray from the disabled list

The Oakland A's reinstated right-handed pitcher Sonny Gray from the 15-day disabled list, the club announced today.
 
Gray is 5-11 with a 5.74 ERA in 21 starts in a season shortened by two stints on the disabled list. He was 3-5 with a 6.19 ERA in nine starts when he was placed on the DL the first time May 22 retroactive to May 21 with a strained right trapezius. The 26-year-old right-hander was reinstated June 5 and went 2-6 with a 5.43 ERA in 12 starts before going on the DL a second time Aug. 7 with a strained right forearm. Gray has the third lowest winning percentage in the American League (.313) and his ERA is fourth highest among pitchers with 100 or more innings pitched.
