A's RHP Jarrod Parker to Undergo Right Elbow Surgery on Tuesday, May 19

OAKLAND, Calif. - The Oakland A's announced today that right-handed pitcher Jarrod Parker will have right elbow surgery on Tuesday, May 19.

The surgery will be performed by Dr. James Andrews at the Andrews Institute in Gulf Breeze, Fla. The procedure will address the medical epicondyle fracture that Parker sustained while pitching on a rehab assignment with Triple-A Nashville on May 8. He was transferred to the 60-day disabled list on May 9.

The A's will provide more information tomorrow following the procedure.
