A's Top 30 Prospects

Oakland's representatives are among a slew of promising prospects set to descend upon Arizona to participate in the annual Fall League.

Shore, ranked by MLB Pipeline as the A's No. 8 prospect, was their second-round Draft pick in 2016. He's spent the majority of the season with Class A Advanced Stockton, pitching to a 4.11 ERA in 16 games (13 starts) with 68 strikeouts spanning 65 2/3 innings.

Romero is also in Stockton. The Cuban pitcher was signed to a Minor League contract as an international free agent in February and has turned in a 6.87 ERA in eight appearances (one start) since his promotion the Class A Advanced level.

Double-A Midland is currently home to Murphy, Neuse and Ramirez. Murphy, who joined the A's in big league camp this year as a non-roster invitee, has been ranked as the organization's No. 11 prospect, per MLB Pipeline, with Neuse -- acquired from Washington in the Sean Doolittle and Ryan Madson trade -- coming in at No. 14.

Following the trade, Neuse hit .386 in 22 games for Stockton, prompting his promotion. Since joining Midland, he's kept pace, batting .359 in 11 games. Murphy, who specializes in defense, has struggled at the plate with Midland, hitting .208 in 46 games, compared to .297 in his other 45 games this season with Stockton.

Ramirez, a seventh-round pick of the A's in 2016, also joined Midland midseason. He's batting .339 with a .426 on-base percentage in 52 games for the Rockhounds.
