A's Upcoming Homestand Highlights

The Oakland A's open the second half of the season at the Oakland Coliseum on Friday, July 14 when they play host to the Cleveland Indians. The club will celebrate Rickey Henderson on Saturday, July 15 when 20,000 fans receive a white "Oakland" jersey, driven by Chevrolet, before the game. The six-game homestand also includes Bark at the Park on Friday, July 14, the A's "Rooted in Oakland" backpack giveaway on Sunday, July 16 and Root Beer Float Day on Tuesday, July 18.

BARK AT THE PARK: Fans who pre-purchase a special ticket can bring their dog to the game during Bark at the Park, presented by Avoderm Natural and Nylabone. All participants will also have the chance to participate in a puppy parade on the field before the game.

A's "ROOTED IN OAKLAND" BACKPACK: 10,000 fans will receive an A's "Rooted in Oakland" backpack, presented by Ross.
BRUNCH AT THE BALLPARK: All fans who purchase a special ticket will be treated to a pregame brunch in the Eastside Club.
PAINTING OF LIVE A'S BILLBOARD: The Illuminaries and 1AM will be painting a live billboard during the game in View Level section 333. The billboard will promote the upcoming Battle of the Bay series vs. the Giants on July 31 and August 1. After completion at the game, Outfront will install the billboard at Broadway and Grand in downtown Oakland.
"HOMETOWN HERO" PRESENTATION: The A's and Mechanics Bank will honor a local hero for their charitable work during the "Hometown Heroes" on-field pregame presentation. The Hometown Heroes program recognizes individuals who have dedicated their time to volunteering and giving back to their communities by making a $1,000 donation to a nonprofit of the individual's choice.
TAKE THE FIELD WITH THE A's: The Take the Field with the A's program gives youth baseball and softball teams the chance to live out their Major League dreams.Members of local baseball leagues join Oakland A's players on the field during the National Anthem.

RACE AROUND THE BASES: Race Around the Bases, presented by Sutter Health, invites children 14 years old and younger onto the field after most Sunday day games to run the bases. Each participant will receive an A's Fitness Sluggers cheer card as they leave the field.

CHEVY FREE PARKING TUESDAY: All fans park for free during Free Parking Tuesdays.
ROOT BEER FLOAT DAY: A's players, coaches, and local celebrities will serve root beer floats to fans at the 18th Annual Root Beer Float Day from 4:30 - 7 p.m. in the Eastside Club and Championship Plaza. Root beer floats and sugar-free floats will be sold for $5 each with unlimited refills. A limited supply of 32oz. mugs signed by A's manager Bob Melvin will be sold for $25 with unlimited refills, and a limited supply of non-autographed 32oz. mugs will be sold for $15, also with unlimited refills. Additional funds will be raised through "tips" in exchange for autographs and pictures with the celebrity scoopers. This year's event is sponsored by Abbott, Dreyer's and Whole Foods. Proceeds benefit the Oakland A's Community Fund.
PLAY PROGRAM CLINIC: The PLAY program-which stands for Promoting a Lifetime of Activity for Youth-is a public awareness campaign developed by the Professional Baseball Athletic Trainers Society (PBATS) in 2004 to combat child obesity. In conjunction with the A's athletic training staff, PLAY will host a clinic for local youth from 10 a.m. - noon on the field.Each participant will receive a Sutter Health Fitness Sluggers cheer card.

LITTLE A's: Local youth and their chaperones from nonprofit organizations will have the opportunity to attend an A's game free of charge through the Little A's program. In addition to a game ticket, each child receives a Bank of America souvenir and child-admission pass to the Oakland Zoo. The Little A's program is presented by Bank of America and supported by the Oakland Zoo, Clorox, and Capitol Corridor.
A's AMIGOS: The A's Amigos program gives bilingual Spanish-speaking children from non-profit organizations the opportunity to interact with bilingual A's players. Participants are able to learn about the value of sportsmanship and hard work from their role models. In addition to the pregame chat, each child receives a game ticket and an A's cap. A's Amigos is driven by Chevrolet.
FOOD BANK WEDNESDAY: On select Wednesdays throughout the season, volunteers will be on-site to help collect cans of food and monetary donations before the game to benefit the Alameda County Food Bank. With every five cans donated or $20 contribution, fans will receive two vouchers that are redeemable for a Plaza Level ticket at 50% off for a 2017 A's game. Food Bank Wednesdays is presented by Lagunitas.
