A's Welcome Back Barry Zito during Turn Back the Clock Day on July 1

On Friday, June 30, the Oakland A's open a six-game homestand against the Atlanta Braves and Chicago White Sox at the Oakland Coliseum.

On Friday, June 30, the Oakland A's open a six-game homestand against the Atlanta Braves and Chicago White Sox at the Oakland Coliseum. Former Athletics Barry Zito and Ramon Hernandez will be on hand for Turn Back the Clock Day on Saturday, July 1 when 15,000 fans will receive a dual bobblehead featuring Miguel Tejada and Zito. The homestand also includes a Patriotic Tote Bag giveaway and the third annual Play Ball 5K Run on Sunday, July 2, a postgame Independence Day Fireworks show on Monday, July 3 and Food Bank Wednesday on July 5.

PLAY BALL 5K: Corrigan Sports, in partnership with the Oakland A's Community Fund, will host the third annual Play Ball 5K. The Play Ball 5K starts on the field at home plate and finishes in the parking lot. All 5K entrants will receive a ticket to the game. TAKE THE FIELD WITH THE A's: The Take the Field with the A's program gives youth baseball and softball teams the chance to live out their Major League dreams.Members of local baseball leagues join Oakland A's players on the field during the National Anthem.

RACE AROUND THE BASES: Race Around the Bases, presented by Sutter Health, invites children 14 years old and younger onto the field after most Sunday day games to run the bases. Each participant will receive an A's Fitness Sluggers cheer card as they leave the field.

INDEPENDENCE DAY FIREWORKS: Following the game, the A's will host Independence Day Fireworks, presented by MLB the Show only on PlayStation. Fans can enjoy the show from the outfield grass (space permitting). Prior to the fireworks show, a lucky fan will take on an A's player in a homerun derby on MLB the Show on the stadium videoboards, presented by Sony Playstation.
HENDRIKS NXTGEN BASEBALL MEET AND GREET: Liam Hendriks will host a group of Australian amateur players from NxtGen Baseball on the field after batting practice. Their coaches, Ryan Rowland-Smith and Trent Oeltjen, are Australian-born former Major Leaguers.  
GOODWILL PRESENTATION: The Oakland A's Community Fund will join Goodwill in honoring four individuals who have completed their job training programs and now lead successful careers during a pregame presentation on the field. Goodwill Industries of the Greater East Bay, the A's "Job Creation" Partner, has provided employment and workforce training to hundreds of thousands of Oakland and Easy Bay residents since 1919.

MAZDA RACEWAY: The A's will host six World Superbike Championship riders on the field prior to the game, in partnership with Mazda Raceway. The riders and their motorbikes will be available for photos and autographs in Championship Plaza prior to the game.
LITTLE A's: Local youth and their chaperones from nonprofit organizations will have the opportunity to attend an A's game free of charge through the Little A's program. In addition to a game ticket, each child receives a Bank of America souvenir and child-admission pass to the Oakland Zoo. The Little A's program is presented by Bank of America and supported by the Oakland Zoo, Clorox, and Capitol Corridor.
FOOD BANK WEDNESDAYS: On select Wednesdays throughout the season, volunteers will be on-site to help collect cans of food and monetary donations before the game to benefit the Alameda County Food Bank. With every five cans donated or $20 contribution, fans will receive two vouchers that are redeemable for a Plaza Level ticket at 50% off for a 2017 A's game. Food Bank Wednesdays is presented by Lagunitas.
