HOUSTON, TX – On Monday, December 12, the Houston Astros are celebrating the holidays with the ASTROrdinary Clubhouse Christmas party.  The team will welcome 50 kids from the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Houston to Minute Maid Park as part of the team’s ongoing 50th anniversary activities.

Upon arriving at the ballpark at 5:00 p.m., the first through third-graders will kick off the party in the Astros clubhouse.  The kids will take a behind-the-scenes tour and then gather in the team dressing area to watch the movie, A Charlie Brown Christmas.  Santa, Astros pitching coach Doug Brocail, and his elves - outfielder Jason Bourgeois, catcher Humberto Quintero and first base coach Bobby Meacham, will join them.

Following the movie, from 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., the group will enjoy dinner in the Diamond Club, receive autographs and get pictures with Santa and his elves.  The children will each receive their own special gift – an iPod shuffle, iTunes gift card and Astros goodies.

Media are welcome to attend the ASTROrdinary Clubhouse Christmas Party and should enter the ballpark through the Diamond Club entrance.
