Astros relieve Mills, Barnett, Meacham of duties

HOUSTON, TX - The Houston Astros have relieved Brad Mills of his managerial duties, General Manager Jeff Luhnow announced tonight. Hitting coach Mike Barnett and first base coach Bobby Meacham have also been relieved of their duties.

The Astros will host a 10 a.m. press conference tomorrow morning in the Press Conference Room at Minute Maid Park, during which Luhnow will introduce the interim manager and staff.

The Astros clubhouse will remain closed until after the press conference.

The club will have no further comment until tomorrow.
