Astros Sold-Out Home Opener Set for Monday, April 11

The Astros return home to Minute Maid Park for the 2016 Home Opener on Monday, April 11 to host the reigning World Series Champion Kansas City Royals at 7:10 p.m. CT. Monday's contest marks the first meeting between the two teams since Game 5 of the 2015 American League Division Series.

The Astros return home to Minute Maid Park for the 2016 Home Opener on Monday, April 11 to host the reigning World Series Champion Kansas City Royals at 7:10 p.m. CT. Monday's contest marks the first meeting between the two teams since Game 5 of the 2015 American League Division Series.
While Opening Day is sold out, there are still tickets available for the rest of the 2016 Opening Series, April 12-14, which can be purchased online at www.astros.com/tickets, at the Minute Maid Park Box Office on Texas Avenue or by phone toll free at 1-877-9ASTROS (1-877-927-8767). 
Astros fans, it's finally time to welcome Astros baseball back to Houston! Let's give the Royals a series to remember and "orange out" Minute Maid Park! Fans are encouraged to wear their Astros orange for all four games against the Royals, which start at 7:10 p.m. at Minute Maid Park, April 11-14. Come kick off the Astros 2016 season and show the country what Astros fans are all about.
All fans in attendance on Opening Day will also receive a 2016 Schedule Magnet, courtesy of United Airlines.
OPENING DAY STREET FEST
The Astros will celebrate the 2016 Home Opener in style with the return of the Opening Day Street Fest, presented by Budweiser, featuring live music, food trucks, games, a vendor expo and much more from 2:00 - 6:30 p.m. on Crawford Street. One of the new attractions at this year's Opening Day Street Fest is the Budweiser Macro Bar, a 53-foot double-decker bar featuring ice cold Budweiser beverages. Astros manager A.J. Hinch, General Manager Jeff Luhnow, pitcher Mike Fiers and other Astros players will also participate in the Opening Day Street Fest Pep Rallies, emceed by Astros radio broadcaster and former big leaguer Steve Sparks. ON-FIELD PREGAME CEREMONIES
Following the street festival, fans are encouraged to head to their seats for the Opening Day pregame festivities, including a special ceremony honoring 2015 AL Cy Young Award winner Dallas Keuchel and Rookie of the Year Carlos Correa, with special appearances by 2004 NL Cy Young winner Roger Clemens and 1991 NL Rookie of the Year Jeff Bagwell. The Opening Day pregame ceremonies will also include a flyover, courtesy of the Commemorative Airforce; a giant American flag ceremony featuring members of the military, Astros Season Ticket Holders and Astros social media contest winners; performance of the National Anthem by country music legend Clay Walker and more. God Bless America will be performed by Neal McCoy during the 7th inning stretch.

Once again this Opening Day, one lucky fan will win a pair of Season Tickets to kick off the Astros 2016 season. Aramark's Street Eats concession stand will serve the winner of the Astros Foodies fan vote, Hawaiian Pork Tacos, for the entire Home Opening Series vs. the Kansas City Royals, April 11-14. Aramark's Hawaiian Pork Tacos are street-style spicy Hawaiian pulled pork tacos with charred pineapple slaw and a sweet chili drizzle.
